  • 2017

    AMEC 

    Suzano received the Amec Award for Corporate Events 2017, given by the Association of Capital Market Investors (Amec). The indication represents the minority investors' recognition of Suzano's unification of the classes of shares, which was carried out during the company's migration to the Novo Mercado segment. The award identifies corporate events that positively impacted the capital markets. 

    ANATEC – Paper Supplier 

    Suzano was elected in the Paper Suppliers category at the 2017/2018 edition of the ANATEC Supplier Awards, given by the National Association of Editors of Publications (ANATEC).  The award honors the best suppliers of products and services, elected by members of ANATEC.

    Fernando Pini Award for Printing Excellence

    Suzano was elected the best producer and supplier of coated paper and paperboard in Brazil at the 27th Fernando Pini Printing Excellence Awards. Sponsored by the Brazilian Printing Technology Association (ABTG) and the Brazilian Printing Industry Association (Abigraf Nacional), the award honors service excellence of suppliers and printing companies all over Brazil.

    GC Powerlist

    Suzano is listed in the GC Powerlist 2017 as one of the most influential legal departments in Brazil. The international award annually honors professionals and companies with outstanding good practices in their legal practice.

    Sofidel Suppliers Sustainability Award

    Suzano was the big highlight at the 2nd edition of the Sofidel Suppliers Sustainability Award, being elected the best strategic supplier of the Sofidel Group, one of the world’s largest producers of tissue paper. 

    MarCo - Época Negócios 

    For the fourth consecutive year, Suzano is the champion in the "Pulp and Paper" category at the 9th edition of the MarCo Award, which elects Brazil’s most prestigious and reputed brands across 33 sectors of the economy. The award is given by the magazine Época Negócios in partnership with the magazine Valor Setorial and the consulting firm TroianoBranding. 

    16th Graphprint Award

    Suzano won the 16th Graphprint Award in three categories: Best Coated Paper, Best Paperboard and Best Recycled Paper. The award is given to the best companies and corporate personalities in the printing sector. 

    Estadão Empresas Mais Award

    Suzano was elected the best company in the Pulp and Paper sector in the Empresas Mais ranking compiled by the newspaper O Estado de São Paulo in partnership with the Fundação Instituto de Administração (FIA) business school. The award honored companies with the best “financial impact coefficient” across 22 sectors of the economy.

    Award for Companies that Best Communicate with Journalists in 2017

    Suzano was elected one of the Best Companies that Best Communicate with Journalists, ranking among the top performers in the Paper and Pulp category for the fourth time. The survey is conducted by the magazine Negócios da Comunicação in partnership with the Center for Communication Studies (CECOM).

    Best Companies to Start a Career – Você S/A

    Suzano Papel e Celulose was elected "The best company to start a career" in Brazil, coming 1st in the ranking published by Você S / A - The Best Companies to Start a Career in 2017.

    Rainforest Alliance Award

    Suzano received the "Corporate Sustainability Champion Award" from the Rainforest Alliance, which honors companies that demonstrated commitment and concern for sustainability, livelihood and conservation of forests. 

    Latin American CEO of the year – RISI

    Walter Schalka has received, for the third consecutive year, the Best CEO Award in the Pulp & Paper sector for Latin America. The award, sponsored by RISI, a leading consulting firm in the global forestry industry, is based on a survey conducted by a group of investment analysts and portfolio managers who monitor the pulp and paper industry. 

    Green Bond Pioneer Awards – Climate Bonds

    Suzano was recognized at the Green Bond Pioneer Awards, granted by Climate Bonds, an initiative that certifies organizations that pioneered green financing initiatives. Suzano received a Recognition Certificate in the Structured Operation by New Entrant category for its issue of green bonds in the domestic market.

    50 most loved companies – Love Mondays

    Suzano was elected as one of the 50 most loved companies by Brazilian professionals in a ranking published by Love Mondays, the biggest virtual career community.

    150 Best Companies to Work For:

    Suzano Pulp and Paper figured, for the second time in a row, in the guide “150 Best Companies to Work For 2016” published by Você S/A. The yearbook is currently considered the largest survey of organizational climate in Brazil.

    The Best Companies for Starting a Career:

    Suzano Pulp and Paper is considered, for the second time, one of the 40 Companies that figures in the guide “Best Companies for Starting a Career 2016” published by Você S/A.

    The Most Loved Companies in Brazil:

    Suzano figured in 21st position between the 50 Most Loved Companies listed by the Brasilian Professional, through Love Mondays ranking. Love Mondays is considered the largest virtual career community.

    Você RH Professional of the Year:

    Carlos Alberto Griner, Chief Human Resources Officer at Suzano Pulp and Paper, was elected “HR Professional of the Year” by Você RH magazine. The award recognizes the 21 most prominent HR professionals in each industry. Griner had already been elected four times as Best Professional in the Pulp & Paper industry.

    RISI:

    Walter Schalka won Best CEO in the Pulp & Paper industry for Latin America for the second year in a row. The award sponsored by RISI, a leading consulting firm in the global forestry industry, is based on a survey conducted by a group of investment analysts and portfolio managers who accompany the Pulp & Paper industry.

    Brazilian Pulp and Paper Technical Association (ABTCP): 

    Suzano Pulp and Paper, was highlight in the sector in two categories: Market Pulp Producer, through Project 5.1; and Innovation in Research, Development and Technology through the development of Eucafluff.

    Graphprint Award: 

    In the 15th edition of the award, Suzano won in the following categories: Coated Printing and Writing Papers, Recycled Papers and Paperboard.

    Young Financial Talent Award:

    In the 13th edition of the IBEF SP/KPMG Financial Revelation Award, Suzano conquered the award in “Talent Incentive to Young Financial Executives”.  Lais Meduna, Suzano Performance Manager, won first prize with his her project “A Year in Two Days – introducing EBITDA Day,”

    MarCo Award:

    Suzano won, for the third year in a row, the MarCo Award, promoted by Época Negócios magazine, and is considered highlight in its sector, between the most prestigious Companies in Brazil.

    Companies that Communicate Better with Journalists Award:

    Suzano was recognized, for the second year in a row, with the Companies that Communicate Better with Journalists Award, promoted by Negócios da Comunicação magazine and CECOM – Center of Communication Studies.

    IPL Award – Reading Portrail:

    the Ecofuturo Institute and Suzano were recognized with de IPL Award, given by Pró-Livro Institute, due to the development of the Ecofuturo Community Library Project. Ecofuturo Institute was awarded by initiative implementation of the project and Suzano was awarded by the support and investment as keeper and sponsor of the Institute

    Fernando Pini Award for Printing Excellence:

    Suzano won in the category "Best supplier of coated or uncoated paperboard for printing.” and “Printing Paper – Coated”.

    Brazil’s Most Prestigious Companies:

    Suzano was recognized for the second straight year as the Most Prestigious Company in the Pulp & Paper Industry in the awards sponsored by Época Negócios magazine.

    Valor Executive:

    Walter Schalka, CEO of Suzano Pulp and Paper, was elected “Valor Executive” in the Pulp & Paper industry at the 15th annual awards sponsored by Valor Econômico newspaper. Each year the award recognizes the best executives from 23 industries.

    Você RH Professional of the Year:

    Carlos Alberto Griner, Chief Human Resources Officer at Suzano Pulp and Paper, was elected “HR Professional of the Year” by Você RH magazine.     Best Brands Award:

    Suzano won in the category "White and Colored Papers for Printing/Copying" with its brand Suzano Report® at the 15th edition of the Best Brands Award sponsored by Agnelo Editora.

    Werner Klatt Award:

    Suzano was elected “Best Printing Paper Manufacturer and Distributor” at the 12th edition of the Werner Klatt Award sponsored by the Printing Manufacturers’ Trade Union of the State of Rio de Janeiro.

    Padre José de Anchieta Award:

    Suzano was elected “Best Printing Paper Manufacturer and Distributor” at the 7th edition of the Padre José de Anchieta Award sponsored by the Trade Union of Printing Manufacturers of the State of Espírito Santo.

    Valor 1000:

    Suzano figured in ranking of the “1,000 Biggest Companies of 2015” compiled by Valor Econômico newspaper.

    For the fourth straight year, Carlos Alberto Griner, Suzano's Human Resources Officer, was elected by Você RH magazine as "Best HR Professional in the Pulp and Paper Industry." Meanwhile, Walter Schalka, Suzano’s CEO, was elected the Best HR Partner CEO of 2014.

    2014 Best of Agribusiness:

    Suzano was recognized as the best company of the Pulp and Paper industry in the 10th edition of the Best of Agribusiness Award, sponsored by Globo Rural magazine.

    Graphprint Award:

    LIDE de Agronegócios Awards:

    Suzano was recognized in the Forestry segment by the magazine LIDE de Agronegócios.

    IDEA Award sponsored by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA):

    The interior designs of the reception areas of Suzano's São Paulo Office won the bronze award in the category Interior Design and Signage in the Brazilian version of the U.S. IDEA Awards.

    ODM Brasil – Campinas Awards:

    Suzano's Formare Project was the case selected in the State Seminar for the Launch of the 5th Edition of the ODM Brasil – Campinas Awards.

    Best Suppliers in the Communication Industry:

    Suzano was recognized as the best paper manufacturer for magazines, books and promotional materials.
